Xequence AU | Keys is a thorough and expressive keyboard controller designed for integration within AU (Audio Unit) hosts like AUM, Cubasis, apeMatrix, and more.

It showcases the revered keyboard that Xequence users, patrons of our advanced MIDI workstation, have come to appreciate.

Includes over 70 scales across 10 categories
Customizable key width
"Glide" mode for triggering keys through sliding between them
Velocity emulation based on vertical key position
Auto-adjusts to almost any plugin window size or aspect ratio
Unlimited instances can be run simultaneously

Comprehensive support for AU presets, including state saving and restoration in the host environment
Configurable keyboard color and MIDI channel settings

CONTROLLERS:

Option to freely configure and display any number of MIDI CCs (controllers) as touch ribbons adjacent to the keyboard
Includes various standard controller numbers that can be effortlessly assigned with a single tap (e.g., 74 = Cutoff, 7 = Volume, etc.)

SPECIAL CONTROLLER MODES:

Custom modes per controller offering an "MPE-like" experience while ensuring compatibility with non-MPE synths:
DEVICE ROTATION - controller movement synchronized with device rotation
GATE - toggle control between default and tapped positions (ideal for applications like "Trance gates" in conjunction with CC 7 / Volume)
KEY POSITION - controller adjusts based on vertical touch position on the keyboard key
KEY SLIDE - controller adjustment corresponds to vertical finger movement while holding down keys
The above modes can be combined for customized control experiences
Note: Controller transmissions are not MPE; settings apply to all notes collectively rather than individually per note.
